Directions to Location
CALETA Directions:

We have moved to a different building located on Camp Robinson. Our new address is 16409 Missouri St. Central-ALETA is located directly across the street from CSTP. Coming from the front gate/ main entrance of Camp Robinson, stay straight and to the right on Military Road (turns into 7th Street), you will pass HQ and the PX on your right. You will come to the main 4 way. Turn left on to Missouri Street at the 4-way in front of the National Guard Museum with the flags in front of their building. Continue driving through/past the golf course. We are the two buildings just past 17th Street on the right. If it is not raining, you should see the ALETA flag hanging on the side of the building. If you reach 19th Street you’ve went too far. There will be signs posted.

Resources Required
Students should bring the following supplies:

• $10.00 for your name to be put on your ALETA shirts. Exact cash amount needs to be in an envelope w/ your name printed and written legibly with your t-shirt size on the outside of the envelope. *We will not have change.  
• Face mask (Will be worn at all times if you have not yet received your COVID Vaccine. Arrive wearing it.)
• Notebook for note taking
• Pencils, Pens, and Highlighters
• Individual Bottle of Hand Sanitizer to be kept on your desk in the classroom daily.
• Copy of your Departmental Use of Force Policy (printed out)
• Service Handgun
• Duty belt, a sturdy under belt w/ keepers, and holster; leather or nylon. (No cross draw or shoulder holsters.  Holsters with the removable plug in the bottom, please remove prior to the Academy.)
• Spare magazines, handcuffs and case, magazine pouch, etc.
• Body Armor (Bullet Proof/Kevlar Vest) Need to arrive the first day wearing it under your shirt. *Academy shirts will be worn OVER the vest daily.  
• Hearing and Eye Protection
• Flashlight
• Baton and holder (Straight or Expandable)
• Rain and Cold Weather Gear
• Quality Running Shoes
• Gym clothes (appropriate black shorts or sweatpants and a fluorescent/safety yellow t-shirt or sweatshirt) No shirts with the sleeves cut out, no crop top, no tank tops or wearing just a sports bra. Females, if you wear black leggings you must wear black appropriate shorts over them. Females are recommended to wear a Sports Bra. *PT is daily so you may want to have a few sets as hygiene is important and required.
• Department issued complete Uniform for class photograph AND to be worn on Friday's designated by the Instructor(s).
• 16 oz to 1-liter plastic container for drinking water
• Boots (Military style, black, lace-up combat, able to be shined
• MMA Gloves and mouth guard
• Athletic Cup
• Clothing:  At least three pairs of khaki-colored pants that meet or are comparable to the following brands/styles:
1.  511 Tactical TDU pants, Tactile, Twill, or Ripstop styles are acceptable
2.  Propper F5220
3.  Tru Spec BDU
The pants should be the appropriate length to be worn outside the boot and will not be worn bloused at the top of the boots.
Reporting Instructions
Basic Law Enforcement Training Class - Central ALETA

Students will need their LE credentials and ID to get on Post.
They will report to 16409 Missouri St. North Little Rock, AR 72199 located on Camp Robinson
They will need to park in the parking spaces located off 17th Street directly beside the academy buildings.
They are to stay with their vehicle until they have been checked in by an Instructor; this will include a temperature check and COVID questionnaire.
They are to check into the Academy PRIOR to 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, Day 0.
They need to be ready and dressed in their tactical pants, a collared shirt, Kevlar vest, and shined, black military style boots.
They should have at least a 16-ounce to 1-liter PLASTIC container for drinking water; filled and ready to use.
Classroom Orientation will start promptly at 1:00 p.m.
After Orientation, students will change into their PT clothes for the first PT Test. They will be told when to change.

Students attending the Central Law Enforcement Training Academy are required to have qualified on the range with their department PRIOR to enrollment. Please indicate this on the Firearms Form required for registration.

Students attending the Central Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy should provide copies of certificates of completion in the IS-700(NIMS) an Introduction, ICS-100 Incident Command System an Introduction, AND NHI Traffic Incident Management (TIMS) prior to or upon approval at Central-ALETA.

All federal, state, territorial, local, tribal, private sector and non-governmental personnel at the entry level, first line supervisor level, middle management level and command and general staff level of emergency management operations must complete the base line level training for certification.
Acceptable Certificates include:

Is-700 National Incident Management Systems (NIMS)
(or the IS-700.a Introduction)
AND
ICS-100 Incident Command System (or its equivalent of IS-100.b or IS-100.LEb) is acceptable for standards.

IS-100.LEb: Introduction to Incident Command System, for Law Enforcement. This course introduces the Incident Command System (ICS) and provides the foundation for lighter level ICS training. This course describes the history, features and principles, and organizational structure of ICS. It also explains the relationship between ICS and the National Incident Management System (NIMS). This course uses the same objectives and content as other ICS courses with law enforcement examples and exercises.

National Highway Institute: National Traffic Incident Management Responder Training – Web Based. The National Traffic Incident Management Responder Training was created by responders for responders. This course provides first responders a shared understanding of the requirements for safe, quick clearance of traffic incident scenes; prompt, reliable and open communication; and motorist and responder safeguards. First responders learn how to operate more efficiently and collectively. This training covers many TIM recommended procedures and techniques, including: TIM Fundamentals and Terminology, Notification and Scene Size-Up, Safe Vehicle Positioning, Scene Safety, Command Responsibilities, Traffic Management, Special Circumstances, Clearance and Termination, Telecommunicators.

O.C. SPRAY INFORMATION:

Basic Students are REQUIRED to participate in OC (Oleoresin Capsicum) Pepper Spray training.

The ALETA OC Pepper Spray course requires the student to be exposed to OC Pepper Spray and its effects in a simulated confrontational situation. After the student is exposed, they will be required to carry out suspect control and officer survival actions. The primary focus of the course is officer survival training and conditioning; therefore, previous exposure to OC Pepper Spray will not be recognized as an approved excuse for exemption from exposure training.

*THE ONLY APPROVED EXEMPTION TO EXPOSURE TRAINING WILL BE A DOCUMENTED MEDICAL EXCUSE SIGNED BY THE EXAMINING PHYSICIAN AND THE STUDENT’S DEPARTMENTAL SUPERVISOR.
